Activation

You deliver a sympathetic speech, sob story, or emotional appeal to enemies at the start of or during combat.

Effect

Nearby enemies who can hear and understand you must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 14) or become Hesitant briefly. For that beat they cannot bring themselves to strike you, though your allies enjoy no such mercy. Does not work on creatures immune to CHARM or too dim to understand sympathy.
