Alpha 0.0.24 is a game update released on 3 June 2026. This patch improves drops, adds exp for party members, opens Revival to free players, and tightens up combat.
Loot & Trading
- Added new loot to all creature types, plus unique drops for certain named NPCs.
- You can now loot, pick up, or trade only the items you want instead of taking everything.
- Items you drop now stay on the map, so you can pick them back up later. If you leave them for too long, the items will despawn.
- Gold in a trade now adjusts automatically to match the items exchanged.
- You can now see in the chat log when a character equips, unequips, picks up, drops, or hands over an item.
Party
- Your party members now earn experience as you fight and explore. You earn full experience; allies split a share.
- Party members who die are removed from your party automatically; if that drops you below the minimum, the party disbands.
- Elite enemies can only follow your party rather than join as full members; bosses and other powerful beings won't join at all.
Combat
- Fights now put you into a combat mode, shown by crossed swords next to your character's name in the HUD.
- While in combat you can't fast-travel, but you can still move to a nearby NPC within striking distance.
- Party members and enemies now advance toward an out-of-reach target instead of standing still.
Balance Changes
- Reforging and upgrading an item now requires reagents or catalysts; better materials yield stronger results.
- Bosses and certain enemy types have updated armor, movesets, and resistances, and some now hit harder.
- Items that spawned incorrectly as Mythic have been corrected to their proper rarity.
- Tiny creatures can no longer wield weapons or wear armor.
- Accompanying NPCs now deal less damage, party members are not affected.
Revival
- Revival is now enabled for free players, with one character revival per month.
General Improvements
- New areas and creatures added to the Glacial Wasteland.
- Unique locations you create during play (a forge, a camp) can now be tagged in chat.
- NPC loadouts and loot are now more consistent across enemy and character types.
- NPC names and titles now better reflect their race and cultural background.
- NPCs remember the agreements they made with you and why you gave them an item.
- The combat attack log is less cluttered, grouping different damage types from the same attack together.
- Enemies sharing a title in the combat effects log now each show their own name.
- The map now shows distinct markers for unconscious and dead NPCs, and tiny or small creatures as smaller dots.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug where an NPC's map icon could vanish, show as "A Stranger", or not update on a hostility change.
- Fixed a bug where Continue could spawn combat encounters even in peaceful areas.
- Fixed a bug where some items would always spawn as worthless or common.
- Fixed a bug where a character with multiple attacks would often use only one.
- Fixed a bug where some characters could deal far more damage than their level allows.
- Fixed a bug where movement could send you to the wrong spot, and naming a monster or NPC could teleport it to you.
- Fixed a bug where burning/burying a corpse didn't remove it from the map.
- Fixed a bug where a drop in your max health could reduce your current health.
- Fixed a bug where a slain unique enemy could respawn at its lair or drop duplicate loot.
- Fixed a bug where you could invite party members far above your level.
- Fixed a bug where damage-over-time effects like poison didn't appear in the combat effects log.
- Fixed a bug where an item's image could change after a declined trade, and highlighted names could flicker while a message rendered.
