Alpha 0.0.19 is a game update released on 9 May 2026. This patch improves clarifying questions, character selection and Narrator's memory in long sessions
Memory & Continuity
- The Narrator now more reliably remembers past events, names, and relationships across long sessions.
- The Narrator handles typos and ambiguous references better when you mention a character by name.
- NPC names and equipment are more consistent. The Narrator no longer falls back to placeholder names like "Goblin1" or mismatched gear.
- Long sessions now run smoother on your device over time.
Clarify Questions
- Clarify prompts now offer an Other... option for typing your own answer, and a Skip option to let the Narrator commit to its best guess.
- The Narrator asks for clarification less often, and the choices better match what you actually said.
Interface
- Starting location difficulty is now better represented in character creation. Blood Pens is a more difficult start than Golden Barrel Tavern and is not recommended for new players.
- Character selection cards now display your level, XP and gold, active status effects, and attributes.
- Elite-tier and higher NPCs now show a special icon.
- Special NPCs now have an expanded portrait style in dialogue.
- The D20 dice roll icon is easier to read during rolls.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug where character creation could fail to complete.
- Fixed a bug where your character could appear in the wrong state after logging back in.
- Fixed a bug where the chat could stop responding mid-message.
- Fixed a bug where NPC portraits could flicker while loading.
- Fixed a bug where dialogue text was hard to read on mobile.
- Fixed a bug where chat text could jitter as it appeared.
- Fixed a bug where dice rolls in low-level zones were harder than they should have been.
- Fixed a bug where the journal repeated similar filler entries every turn instead of capturing distinct moments.
- Fixed a bug where the journal could miss major events from your session.
