Alpha 0.0.16 is a game update released on 25 March 2026. This patch improves NPC behavior, item balance, and session stability.
Interface
- Subclass Paths: Warrior and Rogue class cards now preview their subclass paths during character creation.
General Improvements
- NPCs that leave a scene (arrested, fled, dismissed) now go somewhere instead of disappearing. You can find them at their new location later.
- Improved NPC responses to apologies, reasoning, and other de-escalation attempts during conflicts.
- NPCs you've dismissed no longer keep approaching you, and you won't be swarmed by strangers.
- NPC reactions now better match what actually happened. Relationships shift gradually through conversation and only swing dramatically during combat.
- Improved NPC awareness so they only react to events they actually witnessed.
Balance Changes
- Most mundane items no longer carry stat bonuses. Special and rare items are now the primary source of stat bonuses.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug where NPC familiarity was not updating after conversations or joining your party.
- Fixed a bug where items could be incorrectly removed from your inventory after certain actions.
- Fixed a bug where loading a character session could result in a blank screen.
- Fixed a bug where spawned NPCs could have mismatched race and culture combinations.
- Fixed a bug where damage and effects could be applied to the wrong character.
- Fixed a bug where characters would sometimes repeat themselves in conversation.
- Fixed a bug where items would not appear in your inventory after looting or finishing a trade.
- Fixed a bug where the feat selection interface was not scrollable on mobile devices.
